Hello! Welcome, and Happy Holidays! Let’s get straight to the interview!

Jennifer: Hey there! Today, I’m sitting here with Harrison, the youngest of the Shaw brothers, to talk about all things holidays on Shaw Mountain. So, Harrison, what’s the vibe like at the cabins during the holiday season? I’m sure y’all make it festive for those who stay with you.

Harrison: Hey, hey! Thanks for having me. We sure do. Holidays on Shaw Mountain are a snowball of fun. Picture this: a cozy cabin, a snowy mountain, and the smell of pine needles in the air. It’s like Santa’s workshop, but with more bear hugs! Wink. Wink.

Jennifer: That sounds amazing. Can you tell us what sort of wild shenanigans you and your brothers cook up during this festive season? Mainly you, though. We all know how fun your shenanigans are!

Harrison: Definitely. Us Shaw boys can be a rowdy bunch, but none more than me. Last year, I had this brilliant idea to turn one side of the mountain we’d recently cleared into an icy slip-and-slide. It took some coaxing, but I got a few of my brothers to join in. We zipped down that thing like penguins! It was hilarious!

Jennifer: That sounds like fun! Do you have any holiday traditions you’d like to share with us? Or something from your childhood?

Harrison: Lots, but I’m real excited about the one I started this year. I’m calling it The Great Tinsel Toss. Basically, we all run around, decorating the trees around the cabins with tinsel. It had us all rolling with laughter, even Hunter—the big grump—if you can believe it.

Jennifer: I can picture you all doing that! Can you tell us what Christmas Eve or Christmas Day look like with your family?

Harrison: Christmas Eve is finger foods and board games. Always has been. But Christmas Day, after all the hoopla of opening gifts, we’re planning to gather around a fire, sip spiked eggnog—I wasn’t a fan until Poppy made me try it recently—and eat lots of good food. I’m also hoping the pond freezes this year, because I bought us all ice skates and can’t wait to surprise everyone with them and give them a try.

Jennifer: I bet that will be a sight. Thanks so much for swinging by and answering a few questions. Wishing you and your family a bear-y Merry Christmas!

Harrison: Ha! I like your pun you threw in there. Thanks for having me. Merry Christmas, everyone! Don’t forget to let your inner kid free, that’s what makes this season so magical. Grab some tinsel and get to tossing!
