Today I have the pleasure of having fellow Indie Author Bethany Lopez on the blog! She is the author of the Friends & Lovers Trilogy, Stories about Melissa series, and the upcoming Nissa novel.

1) What is your writing process like? Are you a plotter or a seat of your pants writer?

I work full time in the Air Force and have four kids at home, so I write whenever I get the opportunity. I know a lot of writers say that you have to write every day, but that doesn’t always happen for me. I usually end up writing on the weekends, in between baseball games, car pools, and playtime!I’m a pantser. I’ve tried to plot it out, but stories don’t come out of me that way, I prefer to write as I go and let the story develop.

2) Some authors choose to not read their novel’s reviews. Do you read all of your reviews or are you one of those brave authors who can resist temptation?

I wish I could resist the temptation. I think i’m getting better at this, but sometimes I can’t help but look!

3) What can we except from you in 2013? Are you working on anything new?

I have my YA Contemporary Fantasy, Nissa, coming out April 23rd. I’ve just put together my NA Contemporary Trilogy, Friends & Lovers, into one book with a bonus ending for each couple. I’m going to do a big giveaway starting April 1st to promote that. I’ll be giving away a Nook, so be sure to look out for that. I’m currently working on a new NA Contemporary, unrelated to the trilogy. The working title is Indelible. You can see teasers for it on my blog. I have also started book for to my YA Contemporary series, Stories about Melissa.

4) Describe yourself in three words or less.

Driven, Willful, Generous. (Willful is a nice way to say stubborn, right? Lol.

5) What were the last five books you read?

Fallen Too Far by Abbi Glines    Derailed by Alyssa Rose Ivy    Someone To Love by Addison Moore    Don’t Fear the Reaper by Michelle Muto    Beauty From Pain by Georgia Cates
