Woo-hoo! It’s Friday! Which means it’s time for another First Sentence Friday! I haven’t spent a lot of time reading this week, but only because I’ve been busy getting MARKED ready for release! Yes, you heard that right…Marked will be releasing shortly! I’ll have a date for you soon. I promise. πŸ˜‰

This week I started reading The Book of Luke by Jenny O’connell. I won this a few months back and never took the time to read it. I’d never even heard of the author before. So far it’s had me laughing out loud more than a dozen times! It’s a very cute YA Contemporary novel.

Here’s the First Sentence of the Novel:

My parents waited in the cab with TJ while Sean and I stood together on our front walk.

What I really like about this book are the little  The Guy’s Guide Tips at the beginning of every chapter. So funny! I’ll share the first one:

Forget everything you thought you knew about girls. You don’t know anything.

Here’s one of my favorite ones, The Guy’s Guide Tip # 89:

It’s called a cold. We’ve all had one. Take some DayQuil and get over it.

It’s such a good book so far! Check it out if you haven’t already!

Happy Reading!
