Hello everyone, time for another YA Indie Author Interview Spotlight! Today I’ve got Elizabeth Reyes on, author of The Moreno Brothers series! If you’ve read this series then you’re in for a surprise because this interview is for Making You Mine!

Blurb:
Always in control, the meticulous and professional Salvador Moreno is thrown for a loop when the newly hired bartender Grace Zendejas suddenly invades his family’s restaurant, and infuriatingly, his every thought. For the first time in his life, Sal is fumbling. But after recovering from a few blunders he discovers his feelings for Grace run much deeper.

Things begin to heat up between him and Grace, but then the ever-perfect Sal does something even his brothers never did—screws up royally. Now he’s scrambling to cover up a mistake he knows could cost him dearly. As his relationship with Grace grows even more serious, Sal’s secret is a ticking bomb, threatening to destroy the one thing he now lives and breathes for—his relationship with the love of his life—Grace.

The first sentence of the novel:
It took a few minutes for the blurry room to come into focus.

Making You Mine will be available this December on Amazon, Barnes&Nobel, and Smashwords.

1)What is your writing process like?
The story always has to already be in my head. I always know before I even start writing where the big explosive scenes are going to be. But I’d write the story in order DYING to get to get to that part for example in the very first of my Moreno Brothers series. When Angel finally finds out the truth about Sydney. I did the same in Always Been Mine when Alex finally explodes letting it all out at the most inopportune moment/place ever. After that with the rest I gave in to the temptation and just started writing those scenes first, then going back and writing the build up to them. As someone on my Facebook put it so well when I posted how it felt like cheating, “You can’t get there unless you know where you’re going.” I wrote the big scenes to the next three in the series and then went back and wrote the build up. I think I’ll do this from now on. Interestingly, in the new series the first two stories just came at me from start to finish so for the first time ever I had to write an outline so that I wouldn’t forget any important parts. This may be a new thing for me. We’ll see how it all works out.

2) You’ve mentioned this is a series. What can readers expect from Sal’s story Making You Mine?
As with the others in the series. Angst. Lots of it. And this one will be much longer than the rest. I didn’t do this with the sole intent of just making it longer. There was just a lot more story to tell before it all came together. I’m really hoping my readers don’t feel the length but enjoy it. And of course a longer epilogue. Then there is the bonus short of Angel and Sarah that I announced a few weeks back. It will be included with Sal’s story.

3)What do you do when you’re not writing?
I’m a full time stay home mom. So I do all the millions of things stay-home mothers do, clean, cook, laundry, deal with teenagers, and yes I’m a soccer mom as well. I also love gardening. My backyard is over half an acre so I have plenty of room to work with.

4)Is there a genre you might like to try and write in someday?
I actually have a YA paranormal romance in the works. Readers can read an Excerpt of it on my blog. I’ve only written a few chapters but I’d love to get it out there someday.

5)What were the last four books you read?
I read a lot so I’ll just mention the last four that really stood out. First of all let me get my bragging boots on here. *clears throat loudly* I recently had the pleasure of being one of the very first to read the much anticipated Good For You by Tammara Webber.  O.M.G! Her fans are going to swoon! Rowr!

Others I recently read and loved The Vincent Boys by Abbi Glines. I love me my alphas and this one had a very hot one. =)

One book that I happened to discover completely on accident and absolutely LOVED was On The Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves. Amazing. Just amazing!! This author is now on my auto buy list!

One other recent read that had me taking a cold shower after is Unleashed  by Cherrie Lynn. Talk about having to fan yourself as you read. I’ve had my share of sexy reads but DANG Cherrie can write some HOT scenes!

Author Bio:
I was born and raised and continue to live in sunny southern California. I’ve been married for almost 18 years and have two wonderful teens. My love for writing began when I was just a kid though, I never really  had any dreams or aspirations of doing it for a living. Then along came  the age of eReaders and I saw an opportunity to get my writing out for the world to read without jumping through hoops and getting past the red tape of trying to get traditionally published. The Moreno Brothers series has literally changed my life. I now wake up  to go to work a few yards from my bed. Forever Mine is the first in the series and is currently still free on Amazon but I anticipate that changing real soon. Always Been Mine is the second in the series, then Sweet Sofie and recently released Romero is the fourth. Making You Mine is the fifth in the series and will be available tentatively this December 2011. I  already have another series in int the works  that will immediately follow this one. (No I won’t be taking any vacations from writing!) I will have more info sneak and peeks of that series which will be out in 2012. But I have so many other stories screaming to be told I only wish I could write faster!

You can learn more about Elizabeth Reyes and all of her books on her Blog.

*I’ve read Forever Mine and LOVED it! If you haven’t, you should! Snag it up people while it’s still free!*
