5YRSPUB

Round of applause, please! This is worthy. Trust me.

Five Years Published. Five years as an Indie Author.

Yes, today marks my pubiversary!

Oh, how things have changed during the last five years. I’m not even going to get into it, if you’ve NOT been living under a rock for the last five years then you know how far Indies have come. I’m so glad to have been able to be a part of the ride. It had it’s ups and downs, but that’s everything in life, right? Seriously, marriage, friendships, hell even parenthood can be wrapped up in that one little sentence.

Anyway, back to my celebrating.

This isn’t going to be a post about all the obstacles I’ve overcome as a self-published author or the growth I’ve found in my craft. It’s not going to be about sale figures or how many downloads I’ve had.

It’s going to be about the books themselves, and the words they’re made of.

Here is what five years looks like for me:

OVER 1,297,000 WORDS

Yeah, I’ve published over 1,297,000 words in the course of five years! That’s twenty-three titles.  Seven series and two standalones.

That’s what I’m proud of most.

Sales and downloads are linked to success, and success is a relative term. Conquering fears of rejection and putting yourself out there knowing others will judge, that’s something noteworthy. Broken down, I’ve done that very thing twenty-three times in this business.

Thank you to those who have supported me on this journey.

Some of you believed in me and my stories even before I believed in myself.
